072 [Video/Action]

[A few months back, Saleh and Ewan had made a decision to take a journey throughout the enclosure, to explore the terrains, and train themselves in survival. Now that he's heard some disturbing news, he's even more ready to take that trip. However, that was still a few weeks away, and he knows he'd better stick to the original plan. However, now would be a good time to start preparing, gathering supplies, and settling any affairs with their comrades in the village before they leave, because they'll expect to be gone for some time, perhaps a week or two. So Saleh picks up his journal and makes an open announcement.]

In just a few short weeks...on June 1st, to be precise, Ewan and I will be leaving on a journey to explore the enclosure. We'll expect to be gone for a few weeks, at least. So if anyone has any business with either of us, it's best to take care of it before we leave.

[Saleh will spend some time sulking in his room before going out for his usual errands. Catch him at the grocery shop or the item shop, or anywhere in between.]

Well, we're gonna need plenty of stuff to keep us safe, right? [Granted, 20 bottles of bug repellant might be going overboard...]

[He picks up a bottle and studies the label.]

What is this? "Bug repellant?"

Yeah! It'll keep all the big creepy crawlies from eating us!

[Really, bugs haven't been that big of an issue for him...]

...I think this is a little excessive. How do you plan to carry all of this?

That's what these are for! [shows off two huge backpacks]

I see...

[But those backpacks look like they can get heavy with all those bottles.]

What else are you planning to bring?

Well, books, obviously! And we're gonna need plenty of food!

...Not too many books, I would hope...

[One or two may be fine, but one doesn’t want to spend all their time in nature with their nose in the books.]

I do hope you’re taking the weight if these packs into account. If you make them too heavy, they’ll be extremely difficult to carry, especially in the mountains.

...er...yeah, I...kinda did! [translation: He didn't even think about it.]

[He can see through that like an open window.]

...I think you’ll need to re-evaluate your packing. Unless we had something to transport it with...

[Looking around, he spots a wagon in the corner. He goes over and pulls it out slightly.]

Something that’ll carry the weight without relying on our physical strength...

[Pulls out the wagon by the handle.]

Oh! Yeah, that does look bigger than these packs.

[mountain_sage]

[He’ll gently take a backpack and place it on the front of the wagon. That leaves space for about two more. If they can get one more wagon, and then they’ll be able to carry all the supplies they’ll need.]

Yes, this should suffice. We’ll probably need to pack more food than anything else.

Perfect! See, I told you it'd all work out! [Except you didn't, Ewan. Not really.]

...Really? When did you say that?

Well...I implied it! Kinda!

[mountain_sage]

[He just raises an eye at that and moves on. He'd just be beating a dead horse at this point.]

Well, whatever happens, we'll make it work out.

Yeah, we sure will! [grins] Boy, this is gonna be so much fun, isn't it?

Fun? I suppose...

[Except you'll have to teach him about fun.]

We should finish gathering our supplies and then head back.

Okay! [he starts rushing to grab a bunch of kitchen utensils. Saleh, you may want to teach HIM something about sensible packing.]

[Having seen the message, Eley's just going to head to where Saleh and Ewan are staying to see if they're around. He... might have a small offering in a package too so he is hoping to meet the sage or Ewan at least so he can pass it on. Or use it himself. Either one is fine!

Anyway, he'll just be knocking on the door now, package in hand. It isn't much, just a small bag of biscuits he tried to make himself. They're certainly not foul and are edible, sweetened with sugar, but nothing fancy. He thought they might be a good thing to snack on out in the wilderness.]

[Despite having sent the message, Saleh didn't expect anyone to stop by. Curious as he hears the knock on the door, he goes to answer.]

...Oh, Eleytheria. Welcome.

Ah... hello Saleh. I saw that you were going on a journey and I thought I might... offer something.

[He's still a bit awkward about this whole gift giving business. This wasn't a strange thing to do, right? But he hands Saleh the package all the same, hoping he might like his gift.]

Oh?

[Saleh takes the gift and opens it to see the biscuits.]

Ah...thank you. I’ll share these with Ewan.

[Eley nods.]

I hope you will enjoy them.

[But... now things are slightly awkward. Eley's not used to goodbyes and honestly isn't really sure what to say to express how he feels about this.]

[Saleh can already get an idea of how Eley feels, from his eagerness to help when they still have time.]

We'll be fine. Our journey is still two weeks from now, so we'll still have time for preparations.

[Welp now he feels like he's just intruding. But he realises that he... worries about his friends. He assumes it's only natural.]
