[It's been a long time since Saleh has bonded with people in Luceti. Since most of his old friends have left, his heart has been hollow. Randomly helping people doesn't seem to have the same effect anymore, because likely he would never see those people again. He'd need something that would take more than one meeting, a strong commitment. He takes a deep breath as he opens his journal, as the offer he's about to make is unprecedented.]
I never thought I would consider this...but is there anyone who would be interested in learning the kind of magic I have studied in my world? We use tomes to cast our spells, and staves for healing. The item shop keeps the tomes stocked well enough, as I have never had difficulty replacing my tomes when needed.
Alternatively, I can also offer guidance in contacting the Filial spirits. I have only contacted a few myself, so this would be a learning experience for all of us.
[This could also help with Kakashi's alliance, and the people who would like to help out with it, but he refrains from mentioning it. He doesn't want to accidentally expose anything that shouldn't be exposed.]

ignoring some pretty magical and unexplained things back homein so many ways. The school is set up to have some discussion, but that's not always enough to understand. It's a toss up how much is worth learning, but knowing, there's never a question about the worth in that. )Is your magic such a thing as to be taught to anyone like that?
voice;
It is possible for anyone to learn it, but great care must be taken. As for whether the magic could be used for ill, I won't deny that possibility either. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to pick and choose who should learn it and who should not.

( For all intents and purposes, she doesn't know how aggressive the Scouting Legion will be in decrying her as the traitor she is to them, based on all they know, and all she'd ever been intended to be. Either way, trust is a fickle emotion. One couldn't know another so well as to trust there is nothing they'd keep from you, or nothing they'd want to hide. So it goes. )
Regardless of learning anything practical, I'm interested in better understanding magic in any of its forms. There's nothing comparable where I'm from... it's almost unnerving.
( With people talking about simple magics, as if the concept itself could be simple and universally understood. )
Though I don't know if that's the kind of inept student you'd be looking for.
( Inept for not expecting to learn the use, but wanting to understand, at heart, the theory. )

[He barely knows anyone in the village anymore.]
There are many forms of magic, from what I have learned here. My magic may seem as nothing compared to some things that others can do.
As for my capabilities, I can cast spells based on nature and light. I can attack with fireballs, lightning bolts, and blizzards.
voice;
You learned all of that in how much time?
( Years. She'll jump along the line of assuming years, but it's better to ask. )
voice;
[Like the Excalibur tome that was gifted by the Malnosso over a year ago, and he still hasn't tapped into its power.]
voice;
I'm willing to try and learn, if you're willing to teach. If nothing sticks, the magic of flint and wood won't be any less effective in the long run.
( It's almost a joke.............. delivered deadpan. )
voice;
[Saleh gets the joke, and that's about as much of a laugh as he bothers to muster.]
True enough. In the end, magic isn't for everyone.
voice;
( She agrees. She's still waiting for an affirmation one way or the other.

...Yes, I have various offensive spells.

Yes. Everyone starts out with little to no magical experience.
[It’s really no big deal. While Ewan has an exceptional natural talent, he’s still the biggest handful that Saleh’s ever taken in. So if Saleh can train Ewan with magic, he can train anyone.]

How long would it take to learn?
no subject
That would depend. The Fire spell isn't too difficult, but it depends on how hard the user studies it, or how well they understand the incantation involved.

But I would not let it discourage you if you lack such a gift. Anyone can learn it if they put their mind to it.
whoops for redundancy gj self
when can we start?

[Though that may change in the future, depending on how many students he gets.]

I could use some help contacting the Filial spirits. There's no magic in my world so I'm having trouble finding a starting place.

Do you have any advice on how to contact Nala?
[video]
Hey! Staves like-- staffs and wands? And magic - with like fire and water spells?
I want to know more--and about the spirits too! I don't know a lot about them, but a woman did something with them on me when I first came here, and it really helped!
[video]
Yes...we use staves in my world for healing. I do not know any water spells, but I do have fire, thunder, and blizzard spells, as well as light-based spells. The spirits will be able to teach you how to harness the energies of their respective element.

Wow.. so.. can I come and see both with you? Learning about spirits and then you teaching about magic?
[! A sudden thought!] Hey, can you show us that you can actually do magic? Over this thing?
no subject
Hmm...I suppose I can...
[The only thing he can really think of that'll display adequately on the journal camera is a simple fireball. So Saleh brings out his tome, holding his hand in front of the journal. From out of nowhere, a small fireball ignites, hovering over the sage's palm.]
I would have to meet you in person to give you a better demonstration. Do you have a time and place in mind?

It's unfortunate that the video feed on the journal is so small. He can see the hand there, then the sudden burst of fire, and the flames make Red move back in reaction, as if he thinks it's going to come through the other side. After the initial response however, he peers closer into it, sounds of amazement to be heard.
And when he finally focuses on more than just the flame...] U-uh... n-no! You pick! I'm free all day!

What kind of magic do you know? I'm afraid I don't know a thing about it because we didn't have it in my world.
