I am interested in learning more about these Filial spirits. How do they communicate? Is there a danger in adding their magic to our own?

[There has to be, as Saleh already knows that using too much magic can be dangerous.]

I've heard that the one called Nala is the easiest to contact. So I should start with her.

She's a good choice, since you never know if you'll need some healing magic. She can be heard anywhere, and it's not hard to get her attention.

It's not hard; just listen for her. The spirits don't talk the way we do, but they do send feelings and sometimes mental images. When I talked to Nala, she sent me feelings of approval, eagerness and kindness.

Would her healing magic be beneficial if I already possess my own?

They communicate by feeling, more than anything else. The spirits don't actually talk to you.

They all tend to reside in different areas, too, except for Nala-chan and usually Faeren-chan.

I can't answer that - I'm no magic user outside of Luceti. [exhales out a cloud of smoke] But everyone's power is halved here. It can't hurt to have some backup.

It should be safe! There was an accident last May with the spirits, but they weren't trying to cause harm. It happened because of a flaw in the barrier that's been fixed.
