[Between the constant strife of assisting New Feathers, assisting abductees upon their return, and enduring the village-wide experiments, Saleh is just plain worn out.]

I'm tired...so tired. Great Dragon, forgive me if I have need of a break. Just some time away to clear my mind and refresh my soul. How exactly does one do that?

How about going somewhere secluded and taking some time for yourself?

I would most likely do that. I've been longing to go into the mountains again.

Perhaps it's best then. Just make you stay if you head out there.

Perhaps a week would suffice. However, it's much different without a village up there.

I would imagine, but one might argue the best way to find peace and quiet is to get away from all people.

It is somewhat arguable. Perhaps I do need to get away, but at least I would have my journal in case something happens.

A wise decision. It'd be unfortunate to have you end up injured out there.

I think I've settled in quite nicely, thank you for all your help. I've found a place to stay and some work to do around here to help stay busy. It's not a bad place, experiments aside.

Have you explored much of the mountains?

I have taken an expedition once and discovered a cave with ancient machinery, but this was some time ago. I've not seen much of the mountains since.

Ancient machinery? Hm. I've not yet come across that, but there are many caves out here, there's no telling what might be in them all.

It's worth exploring them... for the solitude in particular, but also for the view from such heights. The tallest among the mountains are especially breathtaking. [Which of course, includes one of the ones where he and Rydia have their cave.]

Yes, the view is quite stunning. A fabulous vision of nature in all of its dazzling colors.

I do regret not exploring them more often. The terrain is much more rugged, and it's quite different without a village.

It's a far better place to be than the village. Perhaps I'll see you up there, if you spend enough time in the area.

There are a lot of ways to do that. For me, I either take a nap or go to the library to read a good book. But you can always do something else that relaxes you.

There are times when people are sent home, and then return to Luceti with no memories of it. It may have to do with the time period you were drawn from in your own world.

Is that so? Then the me that came to Luceti before was probably one from the future. Hehehe, imagine what would have happened if I hadn't returned. There would have been two Martels!

[The feeling is mutual is a different sort of way. Jigen is exhausted from the cultural adjustment to Luceti more so than assisting the newbies. Jigen isn't usually the social type with people he doesn't know but maybe this is an exception because he needs a break also...]

You should come to the lake for a while if you want to relax. I live right on the shore and it's pretty calm for the most part. Just a thought.

Perhaps I will. It would be a good alternative if I can't make it into the mountains.

Yeah, it certainly isn't the mountains but looks nice anyway. Hope you do stop by at some point and get some rest--I understand how stressful this place can be.

Yes, I enjoy all forms of nature, but the mountains are home to me.
