"Little Red Riding Hood"...I hadn't heard of it before, and yet it seems so significant. [Or maybe just famous.]

It was as though I was forced to act out a role of sorts.

It's quite a well known French folktale which has been around for hundreds of years, though perhaps your world just didn't possess such tales. [Sigh] Which role were you forced into? I-I hope it wasn't the Wolf.

No...I was the "Little Red Riding Hood."

You're probably right about my world not possessing these tales...

O-Oh. The actual Red Riding Hood, I-I see. Uhm, well at least that's better than being the Wolf. Or the Grandma! [Fairly degrading no matter what though probably.]

I'm sure the library would have a copy of it somewhere if you ever felt like looking it up out of curiosity.

The grandmother...that must be why this role was chosen for me.

U-Uhm... Is your grandmother alright? If that role was chosen for you because of your grandmother then I hope she is fine!

You weren't eaten at all were you? O-Or rather did anyone try to eat you? [Given the experiment she wouldn't be surprised if someone forced into the role of a wolf would try.]

My grandmother is still in my home world. Sometimes I worry for her, but she should be safe in our village.

[Voice]

[identity profile] alreadyknowsyou.livejournal.com 2011-10-10 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, yes, I'm sure she'll be safe whilst you're away! What's more, I bet she'll be so happy to see you when you return to Magvel, whenever that might be.

Is she capable of taking care of herself?

[Voice]

[identity profile] mountain-sage.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 03:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Somewhat...she is quite elderly, though, not quite as capable as when she was younger.

[Voice]

[identity profile] alreadyknowsyou.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Well if she's a part of a village then I bet the other villagers will help her with anything she is not capable of doing herself.

Your grandmother aside, are you alright yourself? The experiment seemed to take varying tolls on people s-so... [She hopes you weren't eaten. Or nibble on a little.]

... Eh..? You haven't heard of that fairytale before, sir..? [ She blinks to herself a little curiously. ]

I thought it was pretty well known..

[identity profile] mountain-sage.livejournal.com 2011-10-10 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps in some worlds...

[But not all worlds have told that tale.]
happyends: (when i look back)

Oh, so.. it's possible that the story doesn't exist in all worlds? Hmm.. if you ask me, that seems like a slightly strange idea..

[ voice ]

[identity profile] mountain-sage.livejournal.com 2011-10-10 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps that is one thing about this world; people can share various tales and other things from their own worlds.
happyends: (i won't get)

Hmm, I think it's a little nice to share things. Every world out there seems so unique..

But.. it's a little strange that you were a part of that story even though it didn't even exist for you back home..

[ voice ]

[identity profile] mountain-sage.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes...it is strange. I...had no idea how it was coming to me.

W.. well, the Malnosso are probably the one who picked the fairytales, right? Although I'm not sure then how they picked the fairytales they did..
doubleppk: (WHAT?)

You've truly never heard of it before?

Ah... you didn't get eaten by a wolf did you?

[voice]

[identity profile] mountain-sage.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
I almost did...but a man saved me. And the wolf...wasn't truly a wolf at all.
doubleppk: (a little unnerved)

[voice]

[personal profile] doubleppk 2011-10-11 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
I see. There was quite a bit of that going around.

Hum... you didn't have to get caught or go through the whole grandmother disguise did you?

[voice]

[identity profile] mountain-sage.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm...there was one man who disguised himself...but he was more interested in my basket than me.
