[Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother's house he goes...]

[Saleh's making his journey in his red cloak, carrying his basket of goodies. Except he's not sure where to go after crossing the bridge.]

That's strange...I could have sworn this was the way to Grandmother's house.

[Help him out?]

[Or "eat" him?]

[Lions and tigers and bears? Hardly.

Luceti has been graced with something far more sly. The poor darling little Reds out there, unsuspecting and oh so tempting. The unfortunate part for them is that this wolf is very hard to spy with their little eyes. This wolf is a spy himself.

The Big Bad Burgess Wolf has gotten a glimpse of that cloak, and like a bull he is instantly afire with wicked thought. Good thing he has the control to bide his time with quiet steps, play the shadows to his advantage and tail Saleh.

He has to be careful, though. Whereas he might have looked absent-mindededly occupied should Saleh turn around, he now sports the very telling features of pointed ears and a tail, long fingernails, and his own cryptic grin.

Whistle and sing, dear Red. You'd do well to run if you only knew why.]

[Little Red continues his uncertain journey through the forest, occasionally glancing back at the bridge. Should he turn back, or should he keep going? He's come out this far; Grandmother's house can't be much farther away.]

[The wolf continues his game of catching glimpses of that red cloak, following its flash and hugging the corners. It's a latent thought that perhaps he should have worn his bowler hat, but there's no point now.

He's waiting for the perfect chance to play things a bit more boldly than cloak-and-dagger hunting. After all, Guy never has been a spy who makes his way by hush-hush. No, it will always be the stage magician, glitteringly catching eyes one direction for the slight of hands elsewhere.

He puts his hands in his pockets, beginning to whistle a jaunty little tune. His pouted lips for blowing that melody and his eyes look cheerful, a bounce in his step as his feet swing forward in tailored pants and spotless haberdashery.

Why not play a sheep in wolf's clothing? It's entirely possible he could be a woodland creature of good intent. His tail swishes to the beat. He's only waiting for Red to notice him.]

[The tune certainly does get his attention, as he stops and slowly turns in the direction from which it was coming.]

Oh...I beg your pardon. I didn't realize anyone else was out here.

[Glances around from where he's standing and smiles.]

Grandma's house? I don't think there are any grandmas over there. Just bears and things like that. Where does she live?

Her house was supposed to be a little ways past the bridge. I don't understand why I can't find it.

[He's looking around, not a sign of the cottage in sight.]

[Ahh... here we are.]

No pardon necessary! It's beautifully fair weather, and I tend to like the cooler afternoons. It's far too tempting not to walk. Forgive me if I'm polluting it with my whistling.

[He strolls up pleasantly next to ~~dinner~~ the hooded walker, smiling as though he's just discovered a new friend.]

Some place you're going, or was it as irresistible to you to be outdoors by yourself?

Are you sure you came the right way? I'm pretty sure there's just forest in there.

But if you want, I'll walk with you a while.

I...thought I came the right way. Could I have...?

[He pauses, wondering, before returning his attention.]

Yes...that would be helpful. Thank you.

No...I didn't intend to imply that. I'm sorry.

[And the naive little Saleh will be fully honest...which is actually normal for him.]

A little of both, I suppose. It is a beautiful day, so I thought I would come out to visit my grandmother.

[Guy rocks on his heels and glances down the path.]

Would you like some company? Good walks in good weather are even better with the accompaniment of conversation.

[His ears perk slightly in his mess of curls, a docile look of hopefulness on his face... for now.]

[Saleh offers the barest hint of a smile himself.]

Indeed. Very well, I would appreciate it.

[Guy pulls his hands from his pockets, one hand curled around a lighter and a cigarette, the other offered for a handshake. After all, there must be introductions, if this is to be a proper ~~feasting~~ acquaintance.]

Guy Burgess, wolf.

[The latter part of his name comes out as an added title before he can stop it, but it's all part of being swept up in whatever this is.]

[Saleh is swept up in it as well as he takes the handshake.]

Saleh, Little Red Riding Hood.

[Pause. Where did that come from?]

My pleasure! What's your name?

Saleh. And yourself?

[Have a friendly forest fairy?]

What does her house look like?

Today is a bit queer, isn't it?

[He means it in every possible way as he lights the cigarette, pivoting on his heels to continue their walk together. He perches the cigarette between his lips, and raising a lighter up, quirks an eyebrow and a glance toward Saleh.]

An absolute pleasure to meet you, however. Cigarette?

[Oh look! Finally, there's a prey ~~out of the hundred others he had passed~~! The red cloak of this man seems to draw Leon, a young man with wolf ea-- oh comon Leon. Don't be like that. Once you get your ending, it won't be so bad.
Anyway, he has wolf ears and a tail, but he's not a full wolf. He approached the red-hooded man.]

... You...

[He had this tone that didn't sound happy at all. He felt really ridiculous doing this. Although he doesn't know why he's approaching this one particular person, but it just happens to be this person out of the many others he has seen. His stomach was heard growling in starvation.
Wait... That's weird... He's not usually this hungry. And what looks better to eat than what he sees right now?]

[Saleh begins to walk with him, raising an eye curiously at the offer.]

"Cigarette?" ...What is that?

I'm...not sure myself. I've never been to her house before.

[Otherwise, he wouldn't be lost right now. Wait, why did he just say that?]

[Saleh turns to the other person, noting his unhappy tone.]

...Yes?

[Aaah yes... Anything will do for a feast. The smell coming from the red-cloaked man was delectable. He's going to enjoy eating meat--]

... Give me that basket.

[... Um... Cookies tonight. Due to Leon's personality -and still being sort of human- he's not a savage. But right now... Something makes him want to do something as petty as this... Oh right. Starvation.]

But...why? I made these for my grandmother. I cannot give these to a stranger.
