057 [Accidental Voice/Action]

[The feed begins with silence, save for the sounds of turning pages. Saleh is searching backwards through his journal, trying to figure out the mystery in his mind. Since meeting Julia, he just knew that she looked familiar somehow...but he also knew that he hadn't met her before. Perhaps the journal would yield a clue, perhaps someone else who looked like Julia, or something else.]

[And then he finds it. The sketches that Isaac had drawn while he was cooped up in the clinic. One of them was a perfect likeness of Julia's face.]

Julia...!

[There are more aggressive page-turning sounds as Saleh flips to the current pag in his journal...only to realize that it is currently broadcasting.]

Oh, is this...? Forgive me...this wasn't meant to be heard. Pay me no mind.

[Well, that was awkward and embarrassing. At least Saleh won't mind explaining what that was about instead of trying to hide it. As the old saying goes, the truth will set you free.]

[Later on, he'll head to the Welcome Center to check on the place while Rydia is absent. He'll also be gathering supplies for the New Feather stations. Feel free to catch him there.]

[ Julia, who has been busy getting her new living space in order, damn near jumps out of her skin upon hearing her name coming from her journal. The voice she very much recognizes to be Saleh.

She blinks, giving up on what she's doing for now, in order to respond to the poor man. ]

...Saleh? What is wrong?

[It's even more awkward when he hears Julia respond. He'll need another moment to put his words together.]

Julia...it's nothing. I just came to a realization is all.

[ She sounds a little uneasy. Had he figured out what she was...? ]

[Even if he had, it wouldn't mean anything, given that he's a magic user himself. Nevertheless, he can't just drop Isaac's name out of nowhere in case he was wrong or she just didn't know him. Better gently lead up to it first.]

I'm accustomed to solitude, though I miss my family and friends back home.

[ Loneliness is something that Julia is very much accustomed to as well; not that anyone would really know by the cheery way she usually acted, of course. Not to mention Hector had filled that void upon agreeing to move in with her.

When she was younger, she'd had Isaac... briefly, before he'd gone off to seek more power from Dracula. She'd begged and pleaded with her brother to stay... but even her sobbing pleas had not been enough to stop him. ]

I could imagine. Being without your family... is something no one should endure.

...And yet it may be inevitable for me, even if I was back home. The elder of our village is my only kin...and her time remaining may be short.

But I have a good friend back home...and my student...

[They're about as close to family as Saleh's going to get at this point.]

Perhaps...though I would not want for them to endure these experiments here. So I find comfort in knowing they're safer at home.

She would not say. But she's been taking it easy while she recovers. I have been cheking on the Welcome Center in her absence.

I don't think there is anything to be done, really. She will be fine with enough rest.

Additionally, the New Feather Station supplies are washed and restocked there, and I will pick them up and deliver them to the stations.
